Contemporary Queer Art

There are so many challenges for all artists to get their work out there and seen in a world with a million media channels. For Queer artists the challenges can seem overwhelming. How do we cut through the noise? How do we support one another? How do we ensure our voices are respected and heard?

Contemporary Queer Art aims to provide a place for these voices through a curated digital publication of audio, video, photography, dance, mixed-media, painting, and other mediums. Our goal is to get to know the processes and lives of queer-identified artists and share them with our audience but to also make connections for collaborations, exhibitions, and other opportunities. The studio practice can be isolating. We hope to bring light and fresh air as a catalyst to the creative practice of Queer artists.

If you are interested in participating in our project to make connections, then use are Artist in Residency Application form and select the option to be interviewed.
